ARTSY, OVER SIZED AND FUTURISTIC IS THE SUMMER JEWELRY TREND

Raw stone necklaces | Chunky, solid neckpieces are trending, while feminine necklaces have taken a back seat as of now. Givenchy’s S/S 17 show had models in solid raw stone pendants on their necks. Unfinished, yet chic! Christopher Kane, lauded for his S&M sensibilities, gave his girls neckpieces with multiple raw stones set in metal at his S/S 17 show.

Single oversized earrings | Think Coachella meets Cannes. The one earring trend, considered to be a part of the Boho-fashion vocabulary, has now been reinterpreted by some key luxury labels. While Versace for their S/S 17 offering, sent glamazons decked up in signature pub-worthy dresses accessorized with a single oversized earring, J.W Anderson for a change embraced metallics and gave his models serpent-inspired single earrings to go with gold dresses.

Futuristic | To perfect your evenings in one loop, try on earrings cum neckpieces. As the name suggests, this coveted piece is a hybrid of earrings and necklaces. Mary Katrantzou for her S/S17 show returned to her Greek roots and showcased some Palm tree inspired earrings cum neckpieces. The Rodarte sisters took to a more demure route. Their S/S 17 presentation in NYC had beaded and butterfly embellished earrings cum neckpieces. All red carpet worthy.
