A women’s day tribute to four strong women leaders

International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities. We, here at Iflauntme, honour some influential women personalities, who continue to inspire us with their indomitable spirit

Miroslava Duma | The former editor of Harper’s Bazaar Russia, and the founder of Buro 24/7, Miroslava Duma has made a name for herself in the world of international fashion. Referred to as a “force of the fashion industry” by the Financial Times, the entrepreneur started the digital magazine 24/7 in Russia (2011), a single news platform covering fashion, beauty, art and film. Since then, the 30 year old entrepreneur has set up local versions of the website in 10 other countries.

Bandana Tewari | The Fashion Features Editor at Vogue India, Bandana Tewari is placed alongside other leading fashion commentators including Cathy Horyn, Tim Blanks and Suzy Menkes. Her voice is global with an Indie soul, her style is eccentric, and she is the go-to source for reviewing the country’s evolving luxury market. She aims to educate and engage readers in India about international luxury brands, with context about Indian consumers.

Nita Ambani | She is more than just the wife of India’s richest person. Nita Ambani has managed to carve a niche for herself as a business woman, an educationist and a philanthropist. Her active social work has uplifted millions of economically backward classes of the society. She is an inspiration to women worldwide, as she perfectly balances her professional strata, her personal life and her benevolent endeavours.

Neha Kirpal | From an art enthusiast to an art entrepreneur, Neha Kirpal is known for her brand India Art Fair – the biggest conglomeration of Indian and international art in the country. She put Indian art on the global map, and all she wants to is “make art publicly accessible, to make people’s life richer, creative and stimulating.” This year’s eighth edition of the India Art Fair (IAF) covered 20,000 square metres, with 85 exhibitors participating from around the world.

More power to all the women out there, who continue to encourage us with their motivating feats every day. Happy women’s day to you all
