Thinking how will it help? Here you go!
The Amazon Rainforest is the lungs of our planet, the natural reserve that serves more than 20% of the Earth’s oxygen was burning… Burning for a full three weeks before the media threw light on it. Blame it on deforestation or just a nonchalant attitude we humans have about it, but this is a huge problem and is also one of the single largest cause of global warming!
But like others, it is easy to play the blame game. While the hashtag #PrayForAmazon did help in broadcasting this grave incident to the world, it also started a general debate that surrounded that one question, “What do we do, how can we help?” We get it, it is difficult to zero down on a consensus, but if you dive deeper, you’ll understand that the crux of the problem lies in our food habits. According to PETA, “ Animal agriculture requires massive amounts of land, feed, energy, and water and causes living, feeling beings to endure immense suffering.” Both the dairy and meat industries are based on the demand phenomena, which also means higher animal abuse. Sure veganism is not everyone’s cup of tea but if you truly want to save the environment, then it is about time you give veganism a shot. And if you think it is anyway less appealing or tastier, then these five restaurants will surely change the way you eat food forever.
Situated in West Hollywood, no wonder it is a celebrity favourite. So much so that even Twilight actress Nikki Reed loves the restaurant for its, "Fun, elevated vegan food paired with a funky, hip bar, chips and guacamole!" Do try their plantain chorizo quesadilla (made with tempeh), covered with avocado salsa and cashew crema - it is lip-smacking! Up for a drink? The Purista margarita should definitely be on your list!
The Kynd Community is not just any cafe in Bali, it is a dreamy paradise for vegans. Situated in the bustling street of Seminyak, this tropical-themed cafe opens at 6 am and serves some delicious breakfast and lunch. The best dishes that the patrons come back to is Coconut Piccollo - a pink coloured latte, which would be perfect for an Instagram capture. Don't leave the place without trying their Green Grass smoothie bowl. We bet you'll come back for more!
