FALL ESSENTIALS FOR YOUR WARDROBE

Fashion

It’s getting chilly so start collecting!

Accessories have always fallen into two categories: those that we cannot live without and those born out of a spontaneous lightness of being. Fall is the time for many necessities from the bag that holds umbrellas and everything else, to scarves or gloves, depending on the weather. F/W 2018 collections gave us plenty inspiration for a wardrobe revamp that’s right on trend:

Victoria Beckham, Marni and Dries Van Noten gave us capacious bags for Fall. You now have an excuse to pack in everything, including the kitchen sink! The craze is great for fall with our surplus of sweaters, jackets, scarves and more to pack away.

Scarves, always a fall favourite, were spotted all over this season, with a twist. Now not just a knot around your neck, it showed up around waists and made an appearance on the ankle. Channel a Babushka like it’s a cold Moscow morning and let it frame your face for a trendy look that keeps you warm.

Gloves were all the rage this year, touch screen phones be damned! What’s a little inconvenience in the name of fashion? Elbow length gloves, fingerless pairs in pastel, patterned or plain, pull them on for a fashion forward statement.

Belt bags made a comeback earlier this year with ugly chic having its day of glory. The fanny pack was repurposed with a haute couture makeover, and this fall brought a new addition: the neck pouch. Not for everyone, but we can’t deny its utilitarian purposes!

Not too long ago, it seemed like tiny glasses or sporty ones were a must have. Well, that passed quickly: fall showed a movement towards the oversized. Think big frames and unusual edges.

How are you going to dress this fall?
