A Wave Of Artful Restaurants To Try Today

As a nation that loves to eat, we are spoilt for choice with high end restaurants, cafes and roadside eateries bursting with delectable flavours. Yet there is a growing fatigue as we fall into the rut of familiarity and sameness.

Let us jolt you out of dining limbo with our lens on the latest culinary experiences from around the country:

Kaze, Bangalore
The resto-bar on Residency road is the newest addition to Bangalore’s ever burgeoning culinary landscape. Kaze, meaning wind in Japanese, lives up to its name with a rooftop setting that lets you lounge with a cocktail in hand as you take in the magnificent views of Bangalore’s skyline, the breeze gently caressing you. Its South-East Asian influenced menu boasts a wide array from lamb chops to sushi, gyoza and dim sum!

Nueva, Delhi
Though this RK Puram restaurant has received lot of buzz for allegedly being owned by Virat Kohli, it should be on your list for its food. Serving up South American treats, this is a destination for the adventurous eater. Set on two floors, head to the first for a tingling tapas menu or upstairs to see the chefs in action behind glass panels. Do not miss the Pallo En Infusion De Te, an in-house speciality of chicken delicately infused with tea.

Arth, Mumbai
Designed by Gauri Khan, Arth is Bandra’s new kid on the block. With its over-the-top decor think velvet, chandeliers and plenty of gold embossed everything - the place screams opulence. It serves up Indian food from Kanchipuram idlis to chicken potli style kebabs. Spoilt for choice and can’t make up your mind? Order the Arth thaal, a tasting menu served Bohri-style on vast silver platters.

Twisty Tails, Chennai
Touted as Chennai’s first pet friendly cafe, Twisty Tails is set in a fifty year old bungalow with teal walls and checkered floors. While the menu combines the usual suspects - North Indian, Asian and Continental - this place is worth mentioning for its ambience. Tuck into pizza and kick back for a lazy afternoon with your canine friends, or head here for some puppy love if you don’t have a furry pal of your own.

Spice Kraft, Kolkata
Nestled in South Kolkata, near the University of Calcutta, head to this newest addition in the foodie city for some gourmet food at pocket friendly prices. Accompanied by stellar reviews from its diners, Spice Kraft’s global fusion menu traverses Continental, Arabic and Bengali cuisine. The seafood comes highly recommended, high praise in a city obsessed with all things oceanic.

Experience and connect with far flung worlds or reconnect with the comforts of home - where are you headed for your next culinary adventure?
