A design philosophy that focuses on fine craftsmanship and refined utility binds Shalini Jaikaria and Paras Bairoliya, the duo behind the label Geisha Designs. For Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016, the designer duo will present their collection titled ‘Be Loved’.

A somber color palette of sunshine yellows, luscious pinks and cool blues with neat and precise embroideries define the romantic collection. They will also focus on a modern interpretation of classic tatting, handcrafted laces, cutwork, and appliqué.

Talking about what kept them motivated during the whole design process, the designers explain, “A motivation to create something that is adored and is appealing to the eye. It was a quest to grow beyond our own horizons in terms of styles and trends.”

The look is young, for a ‘forever a Lolita’- getting ready for her Valentine all-year round. Designer Shalini shares an interesting anecdote with us, “One day when I was complaining that I had a design block, Paras’ six-year-old daughter Aliya promptly shared her sketches with me.
