Bringing you the lace fashion diaries from this year’s Fall collection

Desirable in all its variations be it dainty floral dresses or summery skirts, lace is a timeless classic, but this Fall it delighted us with a new avatar. From Versace’s lacy trims to Prada’s attention-demanding capes, this trend has paced up on the fashion runways and will soon reign supreme in every fashion enthusiast’s fall-winter wardrobe. More than just being feminine, its inclination this time is surprisingly more towards a stark urban glamour.

With stunning outfit ideas already popping in, we bring you our favourite lace interpretations from the FW’19 runway to help you recreate the looks.

Dolce and Gabbana

Dolce and Gabbana’s intricately embroidered mid-length flare skirt made a head-turning statement on the runway and along with a structured hat and blazer-like crop top, it made a perfectly balanced silhouette. To recreate this look we suggest, the lace skirt by Dolce and Gabbana, Victoria Beckham’s structured sleeve top, and of course the hat, where we totally vouch for Maison Michel’s Andre Trilby hat.

Renowned for its flair for cocktail frocks and loose-gauge knits, this dress by Prada appears to be a harmonious union of the two, wearing a collared-cotton shirt beneath a lace dress may sound blasphemous but was transformed into a fashion statement by Miuccia Prada. Recreate this stunner with Prada’s Cotton Poplin shirt, Leather Platform Combat boots and till this lace dress hit the stores, you can pull off the look with Dolce and Gabbana’s cotton blend lace midi dress

Alexander McQueen

Created with modern British tailoring while being inspired by the historic art, this dazzling lace dress by Alexander McQueen gets all our attention effortlessly. The sparkle dipped black lace with ruffled satin details makes for the perfect inspiration for your cocktail event. If this dress was to be given a verbal interpretation, it would be known as ‘sapphire in lace’ and a physical re-creation with Zuhair Murad’s off-shoulder romantic ruffle dress along with a pair of tread platform boots would make it the talk of the town!

Simone Rocha

Giving lace a chic spin that is high on glam and glitz, this black lace-tulle dress is a delicate testament to the finesse of lace embroidery on tulle fabric. We recommend Simone Rocha’s lace dress styled with unique lace-up shoes for an ultra-feminine delicate look.
