DISOBEY THE TRADITIONAL PANTSUIT FOR THESE FOUR UBER-COOL STYLES

My Style

Ideas to switch-up your pantsuit look from perfectly tailored to perfectly styled

With models donning sharp shoulders, Savile Row suiting, and belted tailoring, the Fall-Winter 2019 runway had one thing in common – the cult-classic ‘pantsuit’. While others speak of the trend and the Fall-Winter collection, we wanted to make it rather interesting by laying out four different and absolutely amazing styles, that will take your pantsuit game from corporate greys to tailored-cool. Whether you are a fan of modern minimalism or a devotee of '50s nostalgia, these styles will make your fashion charts touch a fever pitch.

Who said pantsuit can’t be a part of your sporty arsenal? It certainly can and is evidently on top of fashion enthusiasts’wishlist. All you have to be mindful about is the tone and texture of the pantsuit; while a monotone bold coloured pantsuit will work both ways, the big-checkered one paired with sporty accessories might make you look all over the place. We loved the Wright Le Chapelain’s small-checkered pantsuit in tonal-blue and grey that sets the brand’s European elegance class apart. Pair it with a soft-toned pair of shoe like the Adidas Originals' Supercourt RX sneakers, leather and raffia shoulder bag and add a chic cap that complements the tone and texture of your outfit as well your bag. Try this crystal-embellished leather visor by Gucci.

Not feeling like a full suit or maybe feeling more like denim – your mood is covered with Tibi’s absolutely unique piece, a stretch denim blazer with fine structured tailoring. More like your classic black blazer had a denim makeover! Pair it along with Tibi’s casual slouchy denim trousers, bodysuit, and flip flops – the bodysuit will add finesse to the uncanniness of the suit and flip-flops will add the right amount of fun to your exceptional suiting skills. Moreover, adding an oversized shoulder bag will add a next level cool, we suggest the tan-hued bow bag by Loewe.

Given that there are days when the sophistication of pantsuit lures but the occasion rather demands a more carefree look – comes in the picture this romantic yet very elegant way of carrying pantsuit. Experiment this look by either carrying a monotone suit or you can even pick a textured blazer with a white wide-leg trouser. We suggest the linen-blend blazer with softly-padded shoulders by J.Crew and white high-rise trousers by Nili Lotan. That’s one part, and the other half which makes this otherwise corporate look more feminine are a few more thoughtful elements like satin or lacy top, couple of fine jewels, and a chic pair of sandals. We suggest Miu Miu’s stretch-silk satin camisole, the dainty gold and silver pendant by Alighieri, and, complete the look with Gianvito Rossi’s minimal sandals. Take the Amber style U-shaped bag by By Far to match your leather sandals.

Forwarded fashion sure works but we can’t deny the charisma of nostalgic fashion, one instance is the hourglass-silhouettes. We love how Balenciaga's tonal green-blue blazer is an exaggerated take on Cristobal's pioneering '50s designs, pair it Helmut Lang’s black tuxedo-inspired pants, Prada’s shell pouch, and Salvatore Ferragamo’s Suede mules with golden heels. Also, when the inspiration says the '50s and tuxedos, reinforce the vibe with a chain accessory – we love Laura Lombardi’s Franca necklace.
