SHOPPING ALERT | ADORABLE BAGS FOR THE SUMMER AHEAD

My Style

Three impressive styles from the runways of Spring 2019

We are but a few moments away from sunny days, weightless dresses and cute open-toe shoes – add to this picture of perfection a pretty bag and you’re ready for a very happy summer ahead. The three styles we have distilled for you from the myriad spring trends taking shape are absolute must-haves. Resist them if you can!

Dior’s saddle bag | With its embellished wide strap and the super cute shape, this is one of those bags that make your photos pop. It’s going to be a fresh replacement for your cross-body bag – only more comfortable and yeah, much prettier. Carry your compact world in it wherever you are – on the high street, on a glamping trip or out on a long-drive-brunch-stroll Sunday.

Dior set the saddle wave rolling last fall and made it go even grander this spring with these 90s darlings brilliantly accessorizing every other outfit of their runway show.

A box and a sphere | You got to be the owner of at least one crazy geometric bag. The spacious boxes are pretty much work-appropriate while the smaller spherical ones are dressy enough for an evening soiree – or, take one from AM to PM with something like the monochrome outfit above. Take your pick from Versace’s neons or Oscar de la Renta’s classic reds, blacks and whites. And if you wish to embrace the trend in a subtler avatar, the Versace creation in the top right picture is just right.

Oversized clutches | This one reminds us of one of those period dramas from the 20s where women dressed in bucket hats and short bobs strut around carrying big clutches with tiny handles – or no handle at all. The current version that this spring has in store for us is only less embellished and more quilted. Carry it under your arm for a comfortable and very stylish stance.

Flaunt a cool bag this summer – it’s worth indulging in!
