SIX ‘BASIC’ OUTFITS EVERY CELEB IS WEARING RIGHT NOW!

My Style

Basic is coming back in vogue and it is about time you catch on to the trend

There are certain clothing pieces that are a signature, which even celebs can't ignore! We are talking about those key pieces that are not affected by the whims and fancies of trend and style – it could be plain old jeans or a white shirt – we define them as ‘basics’. Here we are diving into the similar key statement items that have been given a stamp of approval by the celebs themselves. So whether it is a crisp white shirt that the duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle wore at Wimbledon or the spiffy coordinates that Alia Bhatt wore at the airport – here are all the ‘basic’ outfits that are coming back in vogue.

Alia Bhatt - Matching separates

This may trick you into believing that it is a coordinate set but dig deeper and you’ll realize that the ‘Gully Boy’ actress has been wearing matching separates all along! Alia wore a super cool jacket matched along with Bhaane’s woven drawstring trousers at the airport. Love how she elevated an otherwise boring gym look into a stylish airport avatar. Brownie points to catching on the lavender trend that adds such a sumptuous pop of colour to the overall look.

Tara Sutaria - Denim Shorts

Whether or not it is summer, denim shorts are here to stay. Wear them with an oversized jumper like Tara or with a plain-Jane white tee – this denim short's avatar will not disappoint! You could even go for high waist denim shorts as they give the appearance of a narrower waistline and make your legs look longer than they actually are.

Ananya Panday - Cropped Skinnies

Give your ripped denim an upgrade by teaming it up with white distressed jeans this summer. It is versatile enough to go with your billowy blouses and crop tops alike. It even has minimal rips on the knees, making it quite a comfortable jeans option to wear on a vacation or even while grocery shopping.

Meghan Markle - White Shirt

Sure, Meghan might have broken the royal protocol by wearing jeans to Wimbledon but wait till you see this uber cool look that she wore in the finals! The Duchess of Sussex wore a crisp white Theory Poplin shirt along with a comfy pleated skirt. Not only did this outfit defy the stiff dress code, but it was also a cool new way to wear a formal shirt with a playful casual skirt.

Kate Bosworth - Straight Cut jeans

When it comes to donning casuals, Kate Bosworth can do no wrong. She recently wore straight cut jeans with an oversized knit sweater and strappy heels. Don’t know what we like more, her refreshing take on denim or the beautifully contrasting colour combination. Now, who said jeans were boring?

Hailey Baldwin - Denim Jacket

Ever since Hailey was made the face of Levi’s jeans this year, her denim looks have escalated – which to us means that we can wear more of it, without feeling guilty about not being on-trend. Definitely recreate this denim jacket and jeans combination for the next concert you attend. Oh, and that Jack Vartanian necklace is love!

Tick them off your list because these are a few things which will never run out of style. We assure!
