Bid adieu to soap cleansing. Learn more about oil cleansing and its benefits today
Clear, glowing, dewy-looking skin, sans blackheads, pimples, and other imperfections seems to be an elusive goal. One of the main reasons why many of us have grown adverse to mainstream beauty products is because it strips the oil out of our skin, leaving our largest organ trying to repair itself. For an alternative to soap, try oil. The basic idea here is to use natural oils in a specific combination to cleanse the skin and naturally balance the skin’s natural oils. Read on for details.
In layman terms, oil cleansing is a method or skin care regime that cleans the skin and helps pores stay clear from impurities, dirt and grime. The best part is, oil cleansing can be used to balance pH levels on all skin types, sensitive skin too. Through oiling and steaming, dirt and grime is easily removed. Be mindful that it will take a week or so for your skin to gel with this method of cleansing. In the end, your skin will understand how much oil it needs to produce, hence stopping the over-production of oil.
For oily skin | use a quarter cup of castor oil, mixed with two-third cup of olive oil.
For combination skin | use three-fourth cup of olive oil mixed with a quarter cup of castor oil.
For dry skin | use eight-ninth cup of olive oil mixed with one ninth cup of castor oil.
The DIY method to use at home is an effective one, and in simple steps as given below
As per your skin type prepare the base oil blend.

Massage onto the forehead, neck and face in upward motions using gentle circular strokes.
Repeat thrice and then with a warm damp towel massage the face.
