THIS SUMMER LET TIE-DIE MAKE ITS WAY INTO YOUR WARDROBE

My Style

From vintage to contemporary we have all the styles covered

The tie and dye may be known as a much sought-after trend on the runway for this season, but what has captured the designers’ fancy towards this unique art is its element of individuality. Traditionally made by tying bunches of fabric with thread, the art ensures that the dye covers only the exposed areas hence no two pieces are ever the same; coming a long way from the rainbow coloured swirl-Woodstock inspired pattern, the tie-dye print palettes have evolved to more sophisticated colour combinations and the prints and shapes are far more varied, unique, and interesting.

The style has made an appearance in many a runway and when paired with the humble top silhouette, it has dazzled us with several head turners this season. The following are some of the looks that we have fallen for hook, line, and sinker.

Fringed look by Jean Paul Gaultier
This ultra-glam piece is a part of Jean Paul Gaultier Vintage Collection which was first featured in the  Spring/Summer 1985 'A Wardrobe for Two' Collection by Jean Paul Gaultier pour Equator. We absolutely love how it makes for an uber sophisticated chic look even to this day – the scoop neck, the dramatic fringe design, and the tie and dye look further lends to its vintage charm, absolutely reminiscent of the ‘80s trend, which subtly hints that a vintage look never goes out of style.
