WONDERING FOR SUMMER-WEDDING OUTFITS? TAKE IT FROM THE CELEBS

My Style

From gleaming lehengas to floral-ruffle sarees to dainty Anarkalis, it all says ‘summer’

Whether you are planning to be the bridesmaid or simply just a soul sister at your friend’s wedding, your search for the perfect outfit can make you go berserk! After all, there are so many functions to attend with each one calling for a unique silhouette and moreover, we as women have all the rights to go as glamorous as possible (Are there even any bars?), be it about finding a classy suit for the Mehndi, a graceful Anarkali for the sangeet night or a splendid lehenga for the wedding, and let’s not forget the absolute gorgeous saree - the list is endless and believe us, so are the outfit options. Especially for summer weddings when you need to go a little cautious about your picks to save yourself from melting down from the heat and discomfort. But don’t worry the Bollywood fraternity is at your rescue to scurry away all sorts of fashion blues of this warm weather and laying some clues to help you decide the designer for your special wedding arsenal.

Malaika Arora’s floral saree
Malaika Arora was recently spotted attending Sonam Kapoor’s Birthday bash wearing a nice summery saree by Rohit Bal. This stunning white saree with dark pink and golden flowers was paired with a maang tikka and a large necklace with emeralds. Take it from Malaika, holding a bright pink embroidered clutch with a neat centre-parted bun will make you look wedding ready in the most elegant way - you could always go playful with the style of blouse, however, we would suggest for a halter neck which will make you feel utterly comfortable in the hot weather.

Alia Bhatt’s blue and yellow lehenga
With this oh-so-lovely set by Anita Dongre, you have the chance to embody the most beautiful summer bridesmaid ensemble this summer. The outfit can be rounded off with a pair of shiny dangle earrings, minimal make-up and loose curls to look more effortless and breezy. Needless to say, the combination of sky blue and yellow will add up more brightness on a beautiful sunny day.

Aditi Rao’s peach Anarkali suit
If we have to name one Bollywood celebrity who was born to be a sensation in ethnic wear, it should be none other than the ever-gorgeous Aditi Rao Hydari! She looks unconditionally stunning in this graceful yet breezy Anarkali suit by Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor which can perfect any soiree, be it a morning ceremony or a sangeet night. Don’t forget the Jhumkas!

Anushka Sharma’s cocktail saree
Anushka Sharma was spotted wearing a gorgeous saree by Sabyasachi. This cocktail green saree comes with a fine hand-embroidery with French knots, hand-cut brass sequins and crystals in colours of sepia-tinted sea-foam. The pallu is delicately fringed with semi-precious stones. Team it up with a matching choker necklace and a pair of leaf-shaped earrings to make it look as regal as Anushka has styled it.

Aditi Rao’s ivory lehenga
Another one is yet again from the gorgeous Aditi Rao Hydari (of course!) who is definitely giving some major wedding dress goals without even trying, it’s sure her inherent elegance that’s makes her traditional picks unparalleled! If you love little details and class, an off-white or ivory lehenga by Tarun Tahiliani will surely do wonders. Pair it up with a beautiful polki choker and earrings, the one in the image is from the Narayan Jewellers.
