Spaces

All the Nigella fans out there, it’s the biggest celebration of the year!

The most celebrated culinary star, Nigella Lawson is a gamechanger in the gastronomical world.Wearing so many accolades on her cap, Nigella is the writer of twelve cookbooks and host of six TV shows, she is one of the most prestigious English food writers and also is a former freelance journalist. But above all, she is the world’s greatest home cook with a loving personality. We are sure you must have binged watched her cooking cookies on TLC. And if you happen to be a die heart fan of hers (like we are), the good news is you can get a chance of tasting her specially curated menu in India.

The news is she is bringing her culinary storm to India as part of the ‘World Series’ presented by American Express. You can experience a quintessential London-themed five-course meal curated by Nigella at The Chambers at Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai on September 14 and at The Roseate in New Delhi on September 15. (And yes! this is the first time she is curating a meal in India). The menu will focus on fresh ingredients where she is all set to astonish the food lovers by her unusual flavour pairings. And to water your mouth a bit, the menu consists of Chicken with bitter orange and fennel and grilled halloumi with warm spiced cauliflower salad. And to end your meal you’ll have rose and pepper Pavlova with a twist of Nigella. Drooling already?

In association with Evolve Luxury Marketing and Special Events, this is the second ‘World Series’ by American Express. It is a platform showcasing celebrated international talent from the world of food, fashion, art and business in India. Last year in the ‘World Series’ we had chef Daniel Humm of the Michelin three-star restaurant Eleven Madison Park to India.

A household name for over two decades, Nigella Lawson’s first cookbook, How to Eat, written back in 1998 still remains a classic. She was the one who introduced ingredients like quinoa and avocado when the world was not going all gaga about it. She has surely created her own cult and has changed the norm of cooking and the way people think about eating. Her cooking mantra has always been very simple—delicious and easy to prepare recipes which does not consume much of time.

Nigella, welcome to India!
