Have a look at the grand celebration of fashion at Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s 33 Year anniversary show and collection

The designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla are synonymous to revolutionary moments in the Indian ethnic fashion history. Just this year we witnessed some of their finest work at Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' wedding followed by Isha Ambani's at the Antilla. The duo who first partnered in 1986, has consistently delivered some of the most iconic designs to Bollywood, from Madhuri’s exemplary green Anarkali in Devdas to the trendsetting attires of Veere Di wedding, the designers haven’t faltered at displaying the best of their art. To celebrate this moment on the occasion of their 33rd anniversary, they had the gorgeous Deepika Padukone who walked the ramp in a beautiful attire created by the duo.

The show filled with grandeur and magnificence took place at Sunteck Realty’s Signature Island, home to many A-listers in the industry, and was attended by several celebrities like Karan Johar, Norah Fatehi, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and many more. The highlight of the show was the closing moment with the showstopper Deepika walking the ramp in the gorgeous ‘Circle of Life’ lehenga. The iconic ivory lehenga featured hand-embroidered Swarovski, pearls, and resham paired with a crystal and pearl blouse. The plunge neck was designed in such a way that it created an illusion of a necklace, which brilliantly accentuated Deepika’s collarbones. The 90 model and 130 ensemble show ended with Deepika breaking into dance on stage with the designers.

As for the rest of the collection, the duo created a two-faced show with one section displaying fun vibrant colours and the second portraying their love for white and beige with intensive embroidered pearls and crystals. Six months in the making, the collection was a homage to the beauty of monochrome with the skilled karigars of India.
