About The Palace

There may be more than 4000 castles listed on Airbnb worldwide, but this one is truly different. We are talking about the prestigious Gudliya suite in the City Palace Jaipur that opened its doors to the public on the 23rd of November this year. While this may partially satisfy your dream of living like a princess, it will also give you access to the extensive palace grounds, its 300-year-old cultural history and the palace's resident peacocks that you can peek at while drinking your afternoon tea! His Highness Maharaja Padmanab Singh, who is helming this initiative is thrilled, "My family and I are partnering with Airbnb to bring the splendour of Rajasthan to life for travellers from around the world,” said in a statement. “My own travels with Airbnb have made me feel very welcome in new cities and cultures, and I am happy that the experience of quintessential Indian hospitality will be shared with others,” he added.

The Room

Be ready to be engulfed in luxury within a vintage chamber-like setting with inlaid marble floors, private bath area, an indoor pool and an 18th century designed four-poster bed. The room is surrounded with intricate jali latticework, crystal chandeliers, and a dedicated private butler and guide to show you around the palace and its surrounding areas. The palace also has an in-house restaurant called -Baradari that caters to the best Rajasthani meals and an enviable list of the choicest of champagne that you can sip at sundowners while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Sahyadris from its terrace. Sure, the tariff may make your wallet lighter by several lakhs but then luxury does come at a price. And this one is truly worth it as the proceeds of each booking will go towards Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting rural women and the people of Rajasthan
