Talk food and Chef Vikas Khanna needs no introduction. One of the first Indian to receive the Michelin Star for his restaurant Junoon, writer of over 30 cookbooks and a filmmaker, Chef Vikas Khanna has left no corner untouched in his domain. And not just his inclination towards cooking, but his down-to-earth attitude and over charming personality also topped him in the list of sexiest chefs of the world. The story behind his great success is overwhelming, where he never forgets to mention his roots back in Amritsar and his old days of learning lentils from his grandmother. And if you happen to adore him as we do, there is good news for all of us. His highly anticipated Indian restaurant, ‘Kinara’ has opened its door in Dubai. And in case you are unaware of Chef Vikas Khanna, then let us flaunt his culinary milestones. He is the one who has cooked for the army of world leaders. The Concept
Nestled in JA Lake View Hotel Dubai, Kinara by Vikas Khanna pays tribute to the traditional Indian cuisine. After a good amount of research and travelling in India, Chef Khanna has put up the authentic traditional meals of India in a cosy and chic setting. As the name ‘suggests’, Kinara gives you a feeling of the cosy corner of your home or the aromatic Indian Kitchen which sits quietly in the corner of any Indian house. The 180-seater restaurant is surrounded amidst the open kitchen, red walls, and dim lighting. The interiors embrace tranquillity while the al-fresco dining is just so Instagram-worthy. You can enjoy your meal amid the greenery and picturesque view of the lake.

A Look at the Menu
The extensive menu is inspired by different regions of India. From North to South, you can taste the whole of India at ‘Kinara’. From the famous Achari Lamb of North to the Chef’s favourite Ghee Roast Chicken from South, each dish is delectable. Their innovative dish is the incredible kunafa-textured crust for the kebabs. For your Biryani love, they have Chicken Berry Biryani on their list while the seafood dwellers will be tempted by the sea bass with spiced almond sauce and yellow mustard caviar. And while we say they offer recipes form Indian kitchens, you’ll find that out in the humble ‘Aaloo Gobi’ and ‘Shakarkand ki Chaat’. Along with your food, you will also be served four iconic ‘Chutneys’ from North, South, East, and West of India namely Bengali tomato-nigella relish, Konkani pineapple-fennel seed pickle, Punjabi pickled onions, and Rajasthani garlic-chilli chutney.
