Summer is upon us, bringing a balmy wave of inspiration for designers and wearers alike. In this article, we help you plan your summer wardrobe with some of the season’s essentials.

Bottoms up | Whatever the size of your legs, they will be the shape of your indulgence this summer.

Gingham Skirts | From the ramp to the road, gingham is being touted as the season’s hottest trend. From short dresses to pencil skirts and cropped trousers, gingham prints (both big and small) will give your summer dressing the perfect welcome.

Evening Pants | The 60’s is making a special appearance in 2015; primary courtesy, the dress pants. Rev up your retro with a ‘simply fabulous’ pair of evening pants. Go color-bonkers when picking a pair. Accompany it with tops with a laid-back silhouette and a wacky tote and give yourself a day you’ll remember fondly forever.

White Jeans | Crisp white cotton shirt, top two buttons undone, paired with a fitting pair of white jeans and topped with a red tote and red satin sandals. This rendition of the white jeans, or any other, will make you the Sun’s close cousin in scorching!

Cut-off denims: They are back and shorter than ever. Try denim on denim, (beastly sexy) or a dainty crop top. Pair either with a big bag. A style that’s like a dip in cold water in the summer heat!

Tailored shirt dress | We never thought we could kill for a piece of clothing. Enough said. (Composure alert) The tailored shirt dress is so delightfully feminine and so much prettier than the boyfriend jacket that you wouldn’t want to come out of them. That could also be because their lightness is the stuff ice-lollies are made of.

Lace dress | We are gaga over them. Always were. Always will be. For us they don’t need to be in vogue to be slipped into. That they are, makes lacing up even more fun. Get high on patterns or keep it classy with milky white and grab your ticket to the perfect summer evening. Sandals and platforms are the recommended choice of footwear. But never say never to flats, peep toes or boots either.

Crisp cotton shirt | Summer is incomplete without two things – a summer romance of the Mills & Boons variety and a crisp cotton shirt. Try finding your Mr. Right first because finding the right cotton shirt is much easier. And when the time comes to introduce the two to each other, make sure you pair your crisps with classic jeans and heels he’ll bow down to.

Masculine loafers/brogues | Their rugged, unkempt look will re-write the definition of cool on dainty feet.
