Did you know JLo was literally the reason behind the invention of Google Images?

The pop icon, Jennifer Lopez created ‘a moment’ at Milan Fashion Week when she closed Versace's S/S 2020 show while reviving her iconic green dress from the Grammy Awards in 2000. The fashion crowd enjoyed this nostalgic moment and gave a standing ovation as the 50-year-old JLo stormed the runway. Envied by the witnesses, the best synopsis of it is that not even a single mobile phone in the studio could resist capturing the historic walk.

And finally, Donatella Versace surprised the attendees with her voiceover, saying “OK Google, show me the pictures of Green Versace dress" and video screens were flooded with Jennifer’s pictures from 2000s Grammy Awards (Woah! we can only imagine the moment). And it was Donatella's voice again “OK, Google, Now show me the real jungle dress” and then…

Jennifer looked ravishing in the jungle-inspired dress with sassy deep neck that plunges down the naval and the green silk chiffon fabric with palm tree print and extra embroidery on the shoulders caught the attention of the entire fashion world. Donatella reimagined the dress with low-cut fronts, high-rise slits, and sleeveless silhouette, making it one of the biggest highlights of the fashion month. We bet no will ever be able to forget this glorious piece by Versace.

The legendary green dress that Jennifer wore almost 2 decades back was the reason for the invention of Google images. Yes, you read it right, JLo's most admired Grammy look was a huge break for the internet back in 2000 and Donatella recreated this moment, well, she clearly knows how to grab the headlines! Back in 2015, the former Google Chief Executive wrote an essay on Project Syndicate on which he said that “At the time, it was the most popular search query we had ever seen, but we had no surefire way of getting users exactly what they wanted. JLo wearing that dress, Google Image Search was born.”

The Versace's Spring 2020 show marked the 20th anniversary of the jungle print collection which showcased vivid green hues in the form of eye-catching dresses, tops, skirts, and suits! Not just this, but the brand took the glamour quotient to another level with black tailored coatdresses, pop of neon colours and shirts with oversized shoulders.

And no better way to wrap the show when JLo and Donatella walked the runway hand in hand creating another historic moment.
