THE H&M AND GIAMBATTISTA VALLI COLLAB: FOUR LOOKS THAT STOLE OUR HEARTS

Fashion

From tulle ruffles to crystals to fur, Giambattista extends his style off the runway

Collaborations between designers and brands have always excited us, as it merges the pragmatic vision of brands with the stunning aesthetics of designers. The same has happened again with the latest H&M collaboration with Giambattista Valli, the Italian designer known for extravagant ruffled tulle gowns. Yes, the same collection that we have been waiting for from April! While H&M’s designer collaborations have always been breath-taking, this time the designer has outdone himself and created a collection, which not only gives us a huge variety of outfits but also a theme that is impossible not to grab attention. The look book to the collection has put fans into a frenzy for this party-favoured couture as much as the collection’s pre-drop limited assortment did and as Valli describes it himself, his designs are not meant for work, the collection is for the 'jet set girl who stays at the Palazzo in Rome'. With vibrant hues, crisp silhouettes, and low hemlines the collection looks almost festive or party-themed and is all set to launch on the 7th of November. The designer also put forward a beautiful men’s wear collection for the first time in his career.

One of the outfits that made headlines earlier was the Bubble gum pink tulle gown worn by Kendall Jenner as a part of the campaign. The gown made its first look at Cannes Film festival in May this year, along with Chiara Ferragni’s dress in the same collection. What we didn’t know that it was only a little sneak peek into the wide collection of more than fifty pieces that Valli was preparing on.

The collection looks as beautiful as any other outfit that you’d see on a Giambattista runway, and a few outfits from the collection have caught our eye, that are sure to be trend setters for this winter. So, scroll on to know about the outfits that you should grab as soon as they’re out!

The Classic Red Valli Dress

If you want a dress that screams Giambattista Valli, it should be this one. Elegant and stylish, clinched on the waist and incorporating a sleek V-neck, the dress is shorter in the front and longer in the back, a signature style of Valli. Pairing it with a pair of high-heeled boots will do wonder to the overall look of the outfit.

The Winter-friendly sensual look

The outfit is almost a tutorial to what to wear to a winter evening party; the cosy jacket keeps you warm and the sheer tulle skirt keeps the sensual touch intact. Speaking of elements, the pearls put an additional touch to the grace of the dress and the little red heart bag puts in all the contrast the look needs.

The Goth-grace Dress

This piece, is clearly one of our favourites, and the overall outfit created makes it even better, with white stockings and special heels with crystal embellishments the dress evokes simplicity with glamour. On the details of the dress, the intricately embroidered leafy patterns and tulle motifs bring the mix of style and delicate craftmanship. Also, the glitter addon to the belt makes the dress compliment the shoes even more.

The Statement Fur Coat

With leather and fur the coat exudes opulence, no matter what you put it on with but monotoning it with a black and white midi, merges it into a single piece, enhancing the tone even more. The stockings put a sophisticated element along with the heels, making the outfit perfect for a day or a night even.
