Fall ready updates for your nails to nail the season away

Nails are inarguably the coolest canvas of the human body, you can go as experimental as you please to. In fact, you can change the look of your tips almost every second day and say something new about your personality with it. Whether you are into elaborate designs or minimal touch-ups or you like brights, neutrals, or textures; we have traced the hottest trends from the fall-winter 2019-20 runway for you to nail your mani-pedi this season. Pick your favourite or try them all!

Upgraded french mani at Tibi

What do you get when you turn a french manicure upside down? Half Moons - french mani’s chic celestial cousin! Spotted on the runway of Tibi, the half-moon nails are easy to replicate at home and wearable at work. Try out the Rogue Louboutin Nail Colour to create a shimmering metallic half-moon look! You can even try out the Beauty Nail Polish by Burberry for a more sombre HR-approved red.

Marbled nails take centerstage at Chromat’s backstage

You must have heard about the ombre nail trend in pretty pink and pastels but this season go deeper down the shade card and pick out the whimsical forest-inspired colours. Though, if you don’t have enough patience to get the ombre effect right, opt for a more doable look with marbling. Marbled nails were spotted at Chromat’s backstage in unapologetically bright colours. How to get it? Swirl the second shade of your choice through first while it is still wet and unsettled. We recommend the Natural Mystic Gel Lab Pro Nail Color Set power-packed with six beautiful shades of purple to play the ombre game with.

Pearls sent down Yuhan Wang’s runway

If you have been looking for something uber-feminine then your search stops here. Yuhan Wang’s styling at the fall-winter show was absolutely otherworldly - tight short curls, flushed cheeks, bare eyes, and small pearls running down the model’s finger created the perfect look belonging to a fairytale. All you need for this nail look is a set of craft pearls and a high shine topcoat. We came across this Ciate London Pure Pots Top Coat with some serious shine and what’s so surprising about this one is that it’s made of 83% natural ingredients like wheat, corn, and potatoes! Although Adeam did a huge version of pearl manicure for the show the sheer size of the massive encrusted pearls might make the look a little difficult to wear. We will be sticking to the tinier pearls, what about you?

Everything blue at Maryam Nassir Zadeh

Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s fall-winter show seems to have given us the colour of the season for our nails and it is clearly all shades of blue. But what stood out demurely as the clear winner was a particular powder blue hue with a matte finish. Paint your well-kept nails in the exact same shade by Ellement Co. Just A Minute Gel Nail Polish range. And when it starts fading away, don’t take it off all the way. Create a marbled look with the Russian Navy and No Room For The Blues shades by O.P.I.

Don’t forget about your nails while assembling the perfect look from head-to-toe. Although it’s only monsoon yet, you don’t really have to wait till fall to experiment these manicure trends. Whether you choose to run to a salon or become an artist yourself, don’t forget to add your personal touch!
