MOODBOARD | GLOBETROTTING VIBES OF FALL’19

Fashion

Haute couture inspired by the adventures of far and beyond

Globetrotting was the flavour of the season at the runways this fall, Haute Couture collections from the likes of Zuhair Murad, Ellie Saab, and Fendi gave us a sneak peek to this ethereal vision of the voyages of the world taking us to the far lands of Marrakech, China and Rome. Truly, “One’s destination is never the place but a new way of seeing things”.

Myriad Marrakech by Zuhair Murad

Inspired by an insatiable wanderlust, this collection is a reflection of the charming vibe experienced by the designer during his visit to the old city of Marrakech, influenced by tile motifs and traditional tattoos worn by desert tribes, it features a collection of embroidery so intricate that it sets our wanton hearts aflutter with desire.

A Roman Holiday from the House of Fendi

The collection takes its cue from the ancient mosaics, terra-cotta and the marble that once were a part of the Colosseum itself, the evening gowns adorned with sheaves of wheat or trembling tendrils like the powdery stamens of lilies take us back to a sultry Roman day.
