DEFEAT SUN AND GRAVITY WITH THIS INFALLIBLE SKINCARE REGIME

My Style

Here is everything you need to do for 29-forever skin

It’s never too late and never too early to start looking after your skin. While it’s very much possible to reverse signs of damage that has already occurred, it’s a lot easier and at the same time a lot more fun to prevent damage in the first place. Not to mention, you also safeguard your skin from maladies like cancer if you look after it routinely from an early age. Therefore, even if you are only in your 20s or 30s, start following a preventive skincare drill like clockwork – you will not only love the results but will eventually start finding the process in itself quite therapeutic.

Clean-exfoliate-moisturize-sun protect | Keeping your pores clear of grime and makeup residue, moisturizing appropriately and using a broad spectrum sunscreen every time you step out in the sun is half the battle won. This should be as reflexive a part of your day as brushing your teeth.

Tip: Look for a sunscreen with oodles of anti-oxidants for additional protection.

Keep close a big bottle of rose water | Rose water is an excellent toner – it effectively closes pores and simultaneously hydrates, in contrast to chemical toners that may dry out the skin. Use it as a base for your homemade facial masks, to remove makeup or simply to refresh the face in the middle of a busy day.

Use a retinol-based night cream | Retinol is exceptionally effective at preventing and even reversing fine lines. You can start using it in your late 20s. Look for a low concentration, no more than 2%, to get used to the ingredient at first. You can increase it gradually over the years after consulting with the dermatologist.

Vitamin C serum | Start your mornings with this. Vitamin C is a pro at countering free radicals: a major dark spot and wrinkle causing culprit. Combine a Vitamin-C serum with sunscreen and you get an invincible team of UV ray-fighters.

Eat happy, be happy | Your grandmother probably always told you this – and we love granny wisdom. Eat nutritious food, drink lots of water, try to completely cut down on smoking and partially on alcohol, laugh a lot, sleep a lot and dress well every day – a merrier you will lead to merrier skin.

You see, it’s all easy and fun. A few days is all it’ll take to get the regimen in order. So start defeating gravity. Today!
