GET INSPIRED: ALIA’S JUHU-BASED NEW ABODE IS AS GLAMOUROUS AS THE LADY

Spaces

Let’s walk through the newly bought home-sweet-home of Alia Bhatt

The film industry is a hub of style and glamour – the clothes, the makeup, the accessories, everything shouts opulence and luxury. While some like it loud and flashy, others are more subdued and contained. But don’t be mistaken! A minimalistic, soothing style is not always boring. Take it from Alia Bhatt, the 25-year-old superstar, who has proved the adage ‘Simple is beautiful’ with her new abode. Situated in the posh Juhu locality of the maximum city, her three-bedroom space is the epitome of minimalism and millennial beauty. And if you are looking forward to bring in Alia’s artistic appeal to your manor, you are very much in the right place.

Let’s peep in and see what’s in there for us.
The Home Space

The petite actress, just like her film choices, has taken a slightly different path for her home as well, which she shares with her sister Shaheen and their eatable-y cute three cats. This previous four-room house has been converted into a three-room one, with a clear demarcation between public and private spaces. The living room and the bedrooms are separated from the dressing room by a lobby. Also, the living room oozes an old-world charm with an easy-going demeanour. Probably it is the wood-panelled ceiling with ceramic flooring that gives the space a Mediterranean feel.

Inspiring Interiors

Designed by Richa Bahl, the living room cannot be categorised into neat brackets. The continuity of pristine white sofas is broken by a large comfy brown couch. Similarly, reflecting the plain white minimalistic wall is beautifully perched up barstool made of brown leather. Behind the bar reads, “I didn’t text you, vodka texted you,” we know who is the chirpy mind behind it.

What you can surely get to know about Alia after peeping into her house is that she is an avid reader— we mean just look at her reading corner, which she has layered up with her favourite reads. Sitting right beside the huge balcony, the low ikat sofa in blue and white contrasting with a bright yellow sitting couch throws up a very comfortable feel. If not reading, we are sure Alia must be spending her lot of time laying down and gazing the trees overlooking the balcony. What a life!

Bring her millennial vibe home

Few other details which you can easily connect with is a framed Neville Sukhia photograph and a lightbox with the words, ‘Take me to the moon!’. Be it the assortment of textured, patterned and colourblock pillows or the beautiful collectable-accents shelfed on the wall, you might want to borrow everything for your living room owing to its understated beauty. Also, the cast iron pendant light in the living room throws up a bold statement amongst the subtle décor. Moving to the kitchen, the space is very much done in New York style. Pastel coloured cabinets and chess-board figured floor design throws up a very English look where products are taken from IKEA. Isn’t that a unique way of doing a kitchen? As unique as her craft!
