Fashion

Whether you like Florals, Musky, Woody or Oriental – there is one for everyone!

No matter how much we love our old perfumes, as soon as we hear that there’s something new to try, we frolic to stores to update our perfumery cellar or hunt a new signature scent for ourselves. Now that we’ve reached mid-fall, a list of newbie scents has already piled up – from renowned brands like Celine who is setting its perfume line in motion under the new creative director Hedi Slimane to pop-star Ariana Grande who is entering into beauty entrepreneurship with her latest perfume ‘Thank You, Next’ – the list feature perfumes for every time, occasion and persona. Indeed there is a lot happening in the olfactory business!

Before you could jump into the alleys and shop your new olfactory pleasures here’s a low down of the recent perfume launches and what to expect from these new entrants of the olfactory universe.

Eau de Juice by Cosmopolitan

In partnership with Luxe Brands, Cosmopolitan surprised us all this August with its very own fragrance launch called Eau de Juice fragrance with an outlook to quench your thirst for juicy fragrances – with a four-scent collection, really smart juice pack design packaging, and the ‘Pretty Little Liars’ star Ashley Benson as the brand ambassador this newbie is packed with all things good. This playful collection includes a fragrance for literally every mood: Extra Concentrated for intense sugary aromas, 100% chilled for a casual airy day out, Love Unfiltered for dewy fruity sweetness, and Pure Sugar for the times you want to smell like an intoxicated musky dream. Did they miss something? Maybe a new batch will come?

Mémoire d’une Odeur by Gucci

This launch personifies the incredible fusion of Rome and India where the fragrance is made by blending Roman Chamomile and Indian Coral Jasmine. The even more amazing part is that Mémoire d’une Odeur isn’t confined to any gender or age and in fact, it creates a new olfactive family altogether named as Mineral Aromatic by Gucci. With Harry Styles (the fragrance being gender-fluid) as the face of the campaign, the scent focuses on memories built along on the lines of familiar floral fragrances from the past. With woody and musky herbal scents, the scent feels shadowed, warm and nostalgic. If you are a legit Gucci veteran, then you can’t let the 90s inspired artsy bottles to go unnoticed – designed in beautiful as ever interpretations of Roman and Gothic churches.

KKWxKylie Perfume

The much-awaited perfume whose launch was halted for about four months finally lashed out on the 23rd of last month and honestly, was worth all the wait! This Collab creation of glam sisters, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, comes in adorable lip-shaped bottles in three different colours and scents – Red Lips, which has lotus flower and blond orange notes; Nude Lips, which is a vanilla flavoured musk; and Pink Lips, which has notes of Italian Bergamot and mandarin. With bottles of 30 ml, the collection sells separately as well as in bundles for the perfume fanatics.

La Collection Celine Haute Parfumerie

Celine has announced the launch of its new fragrance collection under the guidance of the new creative director, Hedi Slimane. Announced via Instagram the collection seems exquisitely beautiful with French glassmaking aesthetic and is slated to be available in world-around Celine boutiques from October. The huge collection has about eleven perfumes titled Parade, Saint-Germain-Des-Prés, Dans Paris, Cologne Française, Bois Dormant, La Peau Nue, Rimbaud, Eau De Californie, Reptile, Black Tie, and Nightclubbing. We’re still not sure how these perfumes smell like, but it is safe to say that each one of these will capture a different feature of the brand.

Cœur Battant by Louis Vuitton

The latest addition to the dreamy collection of Louis Vuitton olfactory treasure, the Cœur Battant is the essence of wanderlust encapsulated in a bottle. The idea for the fragrance came to Jacques Cavalier’s mind when he was working in the town of Grasse, near fields of flowers; ergo, the perfume has rich notes of jasmine, sparkling freshness, and crisp pear. Although if you’re looking for a new packaging for this adventurous collection, then you might face a little disappointment because this olfactive potion comes in a conventional (yet charming) minimalistic glass bottle with the LV logo.

‘Thank U, Next’ Perfume by Ariana Grande

If you’re an Ariana fan, you probably know about this, but let us spill some more details about the ‘Thank U, Next’ perfume by Ari that we all are extremely excited for. Packaged in a baby pink broken heart-shaped bottle (which is appropriate given the name of the aroma), its launch was announced by Ariana on her Instagram page and is said to have a textured musky scent with notes of transparent florals, juicy raspberry, and sparkling pear. Get hold of your bottle the next time you visit any of these Ulta Beauty stores.
